Selenite is a stone in which 8mm gemstones do not do it’s true beauty and inspiration justice.  There is something very powerful about holding a heart shaped palm sized Selenite.

Selenite is named after the Greek goddess Selene, which is the goddess of the moon.

You will need selenite crystals when there are a lot of things going on in your head and it’s starting to affect your sense of peace and quiet. It’s a good stone to have to help you quiet your mind and give you mental clarity.

I get why Selenite is often call the stone of Liquid Light. It easily resonates. There’a deep inner glow to it. It’s cool and smooth to the touch. It’s a lightness even in the dark. Light enables us to see. Literally and figuratively. 

Selenite is perfect for someone who:

• Over thinks
• Has trouble quieting their mind 
• Has trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep

When my mind needs quieting, I choose Selenite.  I find it most powerful for myself at bedtime.  Sometimes I will just lay it directly over my heart.  Sometimes I will just hold it my hand and appreciate it’s beauty, and weight.
