The (He)art of Giving, In Conclusion

We've been busy elves the past few weeks here in the studio, with today perhaps being the busiest! The work day is over and I am going through the day's emails.  Among them is one from a new customer who purchased from us during our (He)art of Giving event.

In case you missed it,  just before Thanksgiving, we held a 'giving event'. We asked you to share with us which piece from our collection you would like to give as a gift, and why. We chose a winner and sent them a gift as well. Although this customer did not win, she did receive a token of our appreciation: a tea light candle.

Anyway, back to the point. In being so busy, it is easy to forget why we give in the first place.  Gift giving should be more than a "have to" or a "supposed to". The real purpose of giving gifts? To show appreciation and gratitude.

Sonyaa's email was a gift for my elves and me. Appreciation is a great thing. It brought a smile to all of our faces.

So thank you, Sonyaa for your wonderful email tonight. A smile is a great way to end a busy day!

And to you, Paola, the winner of that giving event, I hope both you and your gift recipient enjoyed smiles as well!
